I was interested to hear mention of the Renewables competition in your recent podcast. NET runs SkillElectric which is the official feed into the European and World Skills competitions and a key feature of our competition is to showcase how new technology areas, such as EVCP and Solar PV, are a fundamental skillset of qualified electricians, embodying the "Electrician Plus" principle that I believe you are familiar with.
Daniel Knox, Skill Electric 2023 finalist, competed in the Electrical Installation competition at Lyon and gained a Medallion of Excellence. We are extremely proud of his achievement.
We will be showcasing Daniel and SkillElectric at our annual Celebration of Skills which takes place on 23 October (lunchtime). This year's venue is BAFTA in London. If one or both of you would be interested in attending please let me know and I will forward an invitation. If you can't make it, maybe you can give Daniel a shout out on a future podcast!
