Learning First Hand
Place-based learning is critical to building a sustainable society. Here's something worth watching.
A week or two back, The Green Edge was honoured at being invited to make a few concluding remarks for a webinar hosted by Forth CIC. The webinar - well attended by an online audience from education, local government, industry and community groups - focused on place-based learning and included presentations from The Felix Project, Ambios and Hackney School of Food.
We featured Forth in a post early last year, and at that time we heard about a range of Forth’s projects, including Fixperts and The Maker Library Network. We also heard at that time about a new programme in which Forth was just becoming involved, called LEVERS (Learning Ventures for Climate Justice). One year on, it was good to hear how the programme is building across nine European countries - including the UK, for which Forth is the UK ‘hub’.
Use the links to zoom into the parts of the webinar describing Forth’s part in LEVERS - known as First Hand - as well as the individual presentations by The Felix Project, Ambios, and Hackney School of Food.
