Summary: The Clean Energy Jobs Plan sets out how the UK will build the skilled workforce required to deliver its clean energy ambitions by 2030. The analysis projects a rapid expansion of employment across renewables, hydrogen, carbon capture, nuclear, heat and buildings, and energy efficiency sectors. Using experimental modelling by DESNZ, the plan estimates both direct and indirect clean energy jobs, indicating that around 150,000 workers across 31 key occupations—representing 39% of the direct workforce—will be crucial to meeting future demand.
