An announcement…and an invitation
The Green Edge is working with City & Guilds on a major new green skills project. We’re inviting our subscribers to join in.
Michael and Fraser on The Green Edge are delighted to announce that we have been appointed by City & Guilds to collaborate on a major new initiative to define C&G’s green skills and qualifications roadmap.
Beginning with the global and national pictures, we’ll be working our way through the green market landscape; the growing number of green skills frameworks, the green skills roadmaps for critical sectors like the built environment, energy, transport and manufacturing; and the skills we’ll all need in our everyday lives in a Net Zero world. Along the way we’ll be exploring the skills needs of the circular economy and emerging technologies like CCUS and hydrogen.
Through our conversations we’ll be building a new podcast series, to be broadcast across the City & Guilds ecosystem and reflected back here on The Green Edge. The podcasts are planned to be released through the rest of 2023 and into 2024.
And this is where you, our subscribers, can get involved. We’re inviting you to contact us with a view to being part of the podcast. Your particular area of expertise may be in policy, both national and local; green markets or technologies; green skills frameworks or classifications; green sectors (or the greening of traditional sectors); green education; or Net Zero citizen skills. Or anything else you think is important and we might have missed.
City & Guilds is one of the most significant and influential awarding bodies in Further Education, with operations in 20 countries and 2 million learner awards made in the most recent academic year. We hope you will join us, to get your green voice heard by the City & Guilds community as well as within our own growing Green Edge network.
